I was watching this when it happened and was wtf, ha-ha! Serves her right for lip sinking… Now she's playing it off, upset stomach, um okay, faker…...

NEW YORK - If Ashlee Simpson’s stomach was upset Saturday night, imagine how she’s feeling now.

The 19-year-old singer was busted for a “Saturday Night Live” lip-synch gone awry, with her manager-father saying Monday that his daughter used the extra help because acid reflux disease had made her voice hoarse.

“Just like any artist in America, she has a backing track that she pushes so you don’t have to hear her croak through a song on national television,” Joe Simpson told Ryan Seacrest on Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM. “No one wants to hear that.”

There are probally more singers faking than we realize. i don't see it as that big of a deal.

Well in my opinion, if you are going to pay to see someone sing they should actually be singing. That's why they get paid the big bucks...

There always has been a lot of that. For one, in a lot of venues if they were really singing a lot of people wouldn't be able to hear.

thats what speakers are for. hell if ya aint a no talent a$$ clown you wudnt need frieakin extra "backup sound" and make excuses about why you suck. face it shes riding Jess's rack worse than Nick is. why not thats the only reason Jess is where she is, and theres plenty of room on those things so climb aboard the big rack gravytrain. what a garbage pop culture reality TV BS society we live in where no talent hax like these fuggin idiots can get wealthy. so sad. i blame bush.
