Randy Jordan is recruiting him. He is a hot commodity. He is one of 5 or 6 offensive lineman ranked in Rivals initial top 100. Johnson says he's going to take a close look at NU. He loves the tradintion and the coaching staff because of their pro experience.

 
Didn't we have a Carl Johnson who played offensive tackle on our 1971 NC team? Any relations?

Can think of that off hand.

This out of all the lineman we are recruiting is what we neeed. We have some JUCO's but we need some young talent to look forward to . This kid is going to be very difficult to get. To pul him out of the East in North Carolina

 
This guy is a sick athlete. I saw film of him and it is kind of rediculus. He is like ten times the size of everyone else out there, but he is quicker than anyone else on the line. We could really use this guy, and I think he could step in and help out right away.

I just don't think this one is going to be firm, I believe he will visit other schools.

 
Word on the street is that Carl Johnson was in the stands last night with Josh Freeman. Carl is the 5 star recruit recently committed to Florida. Apparently he paid his own way.

Anyone else have any info?

 
Carl Johnson was definately at the game, which was surprising since it wasn't an official visit. I don't know if he is interested or not, but i can't think of any other reason to visit.

 
After he saw the abysmal performance of our OL last night I would hope the thought that he could come in and be starting the first game next year would cross his mind and appeal to him. OL would have to be the #1 priority of this class IMHO and landing Johnson would be an enormous boost. Let's hope he liked what he saw here.

 
He was there. There was a clip on it in this morning's OWH. He was wearing a Clemson jersey. :WTH

 
Nameless or Eric: What's the latest on him? Is he a soft commitment -- his unexpected visit to Lincoln -- and is still considering the Huskers?
