Assessing the talent:Awesome junior year. Close to 70 catches and over 1,500 yards receiving. Great WR who has a vertical over three feet. Lots of speed here.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20% Without a Miami offer the gates still appear open for Mitchell. The quick wideout has set a date up for an offical and if he follows through on that our chances easily triple. Jay Norvell is showing Mitchell plenty of love and is his primary recruiter.

This has got to be encouraging. We have had very little written about him and then bam!!!!! We get a visit. Can he commit on this trip??

 
hello nameless, you may be right about mitchell, & I may be wrong - since I thought that he was lsu's to lose & that NU would probably focus on other positions other than wr to fill their final slots, but:

1st - he reschedule w/ lsu at the last moment last weekend - which really shocked me

2nd - he is still high over the NU coachs visit to marreno, & he is supposed to visit NU this weekend, like you said (could it happen that he becomes the 3rd wr to verbal to NU? - it may be doubtful because he still may visit lsu after his NU visit, yet he has said that early playing time is key in his decision, plus he got a taste of what NU's offense can be like since he was a visitor of co's on 11/25 for the 3-30 spectacular

p.s. williams has been awed by every school that he has seen, which have been mn & in, just wait until he gets a load of NU - I think that NU may see the big boy faint
