Assessing the talent: Good quickness and explosion at the point of attack. It’s pretty obvious what he has to do when or whom decides what position he will play in college.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 0% The Huskers made a recent offer to Okung. We will have to let this recruitment play out as he is wide open.

I would consider bumping him up to 75% but that's just me

All i know for now is Seth has been pushing him to commit to NU lately and he has a strong relationship with Jay Norvell. Hopefully we can seal the deal. Either guy would be fine in my opinion

You have said at least twice that time is running out on Okung. Do you think that he faovrs Nebraska? Do you think that he wants to commit? If so, what is the hold up?

hello, I am not nameless, yet maybe a can write something of substance about okung - he wants to take all of his visits, (he has visited NU 11/11, & ok st 12/09 - last wk end) & will be visiting ou this weekend, & is planning a lsu visit 01/20, & he has said that he wants to not be rushed into a decision, & wants to be sure that his decision of what university to chose is the right decision for him

he received a in home visit by the NU coachs during the last weekend of nov, & has been telephoned a couple of times recently by jensen who visited the NU campus w/ okung, & wants okung to come play w/ him at NU

I do not think that NU will hold its offer for okung much longer - since williams will be coming to NU this weekend, & it may be williams last visit (but who knows?)

p.s. dan hawkins has been hired (hc at boise st) by co, & he will close the borders to NU & any other school in recruiting co talent

Yeah, that is all stuff that I have heard on HI (RSS)...Thanks for putting it all together though. I was just trying to see if nameless had something in mind. He kept commenting on him so I thought I'd ask.

Okung seems to have NU on the backburner for now. Not sure what has happened recently for Nebraska to have lost the lead on him. He now has shifted to a top 3 of LSU, Oklahoma St and Oklahoma (no leader just his top 3) and NU on the outside looking in. LSU has to much depth and so does OU, so if he ends up someplace, it will be OSU which could offer him immediate and extensive playing time. Oklahoma St loses both the starting tackle and his backup this year to graduation and the third string is a freshman. On the other side of OT, they will lose their second string OT and the first string OT is a junior and will be a Senior next year with the third string player a freshman as well. Oklahoma St also will lost it's starting OG and his backup is a Jr. this year and a senior next year with the 3rd string backup a freshman as well.

Make no mistake about it, playing time is important to him and he will go someplace that offers him the most playing time. NU can't gurantee him playing time next year and i am guessing the lack of recruiting we have paid him recently. OSU can give him playing time. That's where he ends up if i was a betting man

It's like i said..playing time was an issue for him. I really wish he had come here and just redshirtted his first year. He has talent but he is going to be dominated his first year because he lacks the proper coaching. Either way, expect to see him playing in the lineup when NU faces Okie St this season.
