What will Jones bring?

Callahan: Very similiar to Zack Bowman. We can rotate him from corner to nickel packages"

Expects to use him as they did Bowman

I hope to see whether he is as big a hitter as advertised. Bring the wood!!
:bat
Bowman was suppose to be a great tackler and hitter aswell but he didn't live up to that. Hopefully this guy can in that department.

I'll agree Bowman didn't get to have many big hits, however, how many chances did he have at that?

Also, I thought Bowman was as sure a tackler as we had in our secondary this past year.

If he improves every week like Bowman than we got a really good one. By the end of the season Bowman was awesome IMO.

Bowman will play with more confidence this season.......last year he was a little tentative and i think he was unsure of himself and did not want to get burned...

Jones should be a big help with his speed this year, will make an immediate impact

BING BING BING...WE HAVE A WINNER!!! I was thinking the same exact thing! Guys be ready for this kid to break out. (Bowman) I will even go out on a limb to say the turning point in his career was the Int in the Alamo Bowl!....

I personally believe it was the Colorado game in general for Bowman.

It looked as if he took the field that day thinking no WR was getting anything on him, and they didn't. He played with a confidence and a swagger that I haven't seen from a Nebraska player in a while. It carried over to the Michigan game as well.

The one thing we saw is that their is a transition period, even for someone as talented as Bowman. He got burned a couple times early in the year, but by the end you weren't getting much (if anything) on him.

Having Grixby and Bowman ahead of Jones and gradually throwing him into the fire will be wonderful. Easily should have the top CB crew in the country.

Also, I think Titus Brothers will surprise ALOT of people next year at safety. I think he will be a more talented and athletic version of Blake Tiedtke and will definetely win one of the starting safety spots. He looked terrific in the Michigan game.

I would go in further about how I personally believe our defense will shape up next season (and it's exciting just thinking of it), but going on 4 hours sleep and being up since 9est has gotten me just a LITTLE tired.

Damm you Deas!

*shakes fist in air*

Last night, Coach Elmo mentioned that not one time during the recruiting process did Andre talk about depth chart and where he would land. This is usually one of the first things talked about with a recruit. Any recruit, it's playing time.

He also said he thinks the biggest reason that he signed with NU was talking with Grixby, Bowman and the rest of the Dbacks. They let him know how much they needed him here in the backfield.

Sounds like a good kid.

Elmo again emphasized the un-selfish attitude this guy has at the Lincoln Recruiting Dinner. Along with Bowman and Grixby.
