It's the way I make my living, misfit. How would you propose an IT professional hold a job without spending hours a day on a computer?A few hours each day on a computer huh? Now that's what I call ignorant.I'm nearly 44 years old, and I first laid hands on a computer in the late 70's, and I've been online (pre-public internet) since the early 80's. I've worked in the IT industry for nearly my entire adult life after getting out of the Army in 1994. Other than during my military service, I don't know if there is a day in the last 30 years that I haven't spent at least a few hours on a computer each day. Obviously not everyone is as knowledgeable or as into it as others, but being older isn't an excuse for being ignorant.
And yes, I can (and have) rebuilt cars and bathrooms and lots of other irrelevant sh#t, too.
Well, sh#t for brains let's do the math. You were born in 68 or 69. Let's just say your late 70s beginning was 79 (a very good year by the way).
So what you're saying is that you didn't become an adult until the age of 26. Curious. You make your living in the virtual world and make mine in the real world. Cudos to you.
Yet you spend alot of time here. One would think that after a hard day of staring at a screen (cough) you wouldn't want to spend too much more face time in front of a screen.
To a fellow Army brother. It's ok, I get it, settle down.
