He started one game because ikard got a concussion. The only reason ikard is at center is because Habern tore his acl and ikard got moved over. He was the projected 3rd string going into the season. He is a good player though.

Apopka runs a multiple offense

Primarily SINGLE WING stuff

They added some jet sweep-read, zone-read, plays this year

The older son is a starter on the O-line at Oklahoma as a true Freshman

They named Zach after Zach Weigert- Rick Darlington is a huge NU fan- history with Jeff Jamrog

Bo has spoken with both Rick and Zach

Zach SUPER HIGH character kid with good speed, nice arm, good decision making ability

Parents & Zach committed real deal Christian people-amazing family

Grandparents live in Oklahoma

Clips of their 8 A Championship Win- and Zach:

so why and the hell didnt we get the older son
Grandma and Grandpa live in OKC- OU was in very early

His mom was a cheerleader at OU

He had over 30 offers
What do you think will happen if both NU and OU want Zach?

Obviously our offense would better suit him but just a hypothetical
Have no idea

HUGE family- I think Rick has 8-9 kids

Very close family

Gma and pa right in OKC

Older bro starts as a true freshman for OU

I dont know the kid- have watched a lot of film of him- since he was a Freshman on varsity
ok, just thought i would ask since you seem to have some first hand knowledge of the situation. Thanks for the info, stick around throughout his recruitment and let us know whats going on.

What do you think our chances are here if we go after him hard?

At the Nike Combine in Orlando, Florida, Zach, among all of the QBs in attendance, had the best timing on routes in the short, intermediate and vertical passing game.

I think its already been said, but does anybody think out depth at qb might keep a kid from committing, I mean right now we have Martinez, Armstrong,Stanton, and if we get Darlington, it would appear that we have the next several years spoken for at the qb position (I know not all players live up to potential but these guys look like they should be good ones in the future), that might keep a 5* kid from committing in the next year or 2.

No! After this season Martinez graduates. That leaves us with Armstrong and Stanton as the only current scholarship QBs for the 2014 season. The last thing a QB prospect this year has to worry about is being stuck on the depth chart. The opportunity to earn a starting spot will be there every year on campus.

Alabama has 8 QBs on roster this coming season. Wisconsin has 6 QBs on roster this coming season.

I agree. Plus it sounds like Darlington's character and his family's character is very exceptional.

If a QB wants the job handed to him he should go to a mid major or cellar dweller program. The best players want to compete and earn the spot.

Whoever gets him will get a good one

As 8A- Largest Class state champs and HIGHLY favored to repeat with about everyone back, Zach will be on a lot of radars

Not sure about his measurables- but he throws a nice tight ball

Was almost exclusively a runner his first 2 years- Single Wing running offense

Has significantly improved his speed- dad runs an insane speed development program- one year they had over 20 kids 4.7 or below in the 40

Is EXTREMELY tough- has worked/played through some really tough injuries

Is an amazing leader- as a coaches kid from a big family- kid knows the game

Players have always respected him- even when he was a Soph

Very hard worker- leader off the field in weight room.
