Knapp has this band of acalyctic acolyte followers that just go everywhere he goes and +1's everything he says. It's the most manipulated number in all of message boards, and I'm jealous as f#*k of it.

Going to pick up some whiskey tonight. Anybody have any reasonably priced suggestions? (Other than Jack or Jim)

jameson is smooth enough to sip and reasonably priced. i am a big fan, so is jimmy mcnulty if that means anything to you.

If by reasonable you mean cheap, then here are my favorite three cheap whiskeys:

  • Kessler (blended American whiskey) dirt cheap and pretty good
  • George Dickel, black label (Tennessee sour mash)
  • Walker’s Deluxe (Hiram Walker, not Johnnie Walker)

OTOH, my taste in whiskey might not be as refined as some. The last bottle I bought was a 1.75l of Carstairs that I paid $12 for (yes, it was that cheap). And I liked it! :lol:

my favorite whiskey is 'early times' (not good times, but early times) and it is bottom shelf, as cheap as it gets. best whiskey for mixing on the market.

 
Is there a whiskey out there called Rich and Rare? Or R&R for short. I'm not sure what it is but it's the cheap whiskey my brother drinks. It's not good, but it's not bad either.

i always keep a spare 1.75 of early times in my home bar and have plenty of coke zero on hand.

 
I bought a bottle of Makers. A buddy of mine drinks it all the time. Pretty good. I had been drinking A LOT of Bulleit Rye lately.
