To Tweet Or Not To Tweet

And "Free Scholarships" on the side of your van would look way better than "Free Candy". You'll also be able to pick up some older chicks.
YOU d!(k!!!!!!!!!! I almost just nose shot my coffee.... I can't +1 that enough...
why you drinking coffee at 10 pm? that's more f'd up than a van with "free scholarships" on it.
Well, i've been at work 2 hours, so I'm another one that sits on HB while at work...
I'll +1 that. So do I.
Same here. Another +1

Wait which guy is that? the one with kids in his floors and sh#t? I could go out and ACTUALLY be creepy if you'd like. I suppose I could ask boxers/briefs, favorite kinda bj; road head, 69, pornstar, etc. I could ask what their perfect first date would be... You guys wanna find that stuff out, cause I'm down!

My dog does that too.

CornNation - Nebraska Football Recruiting: Twitter and Facebook Interaction is a Horrible Idea

It is important to keep in mind that fans are considered boosters of our Athletics Department because they are involved in promoting our athletics program. As the NCAA rules currently stand, it is not permissible for a fan to have in-person recruiting contact with a prospect or recruiting contact via social media, telephone, text message, or email. All recruiting communication with prospects needs to be done by a member of the coaching staff or other Athletics Department staff members who are permitted to communicate.
The most recent guidance we received regarding this topic states that it would be permissible for fans to follow a prospect on Twitter, but it would not be permissible to make a "friend request" on Facebook, "retweet", "favorite" a Tweet, or "like" a Facebook post made by a prospect.

Hey, ArmyAllen, they're playing your song...

The fact that it actually says "creepy" in the story, made me laugh...

Once again... I don't care what they say are rules in this case, there is no way to enforce it, and fans of every single school in the country tweet and friend recruits.

Like I said, I've never tweeted a recruit (I don't even have twitter) but I don't see the issue with it as long as it's only once or twice and all it really says is along the lines of, "Hey, our school would love to have you."

There is absolutely ZERO harm in doing that. That's what Twitter is for.

I know there is no way to enforce it, but c'mon, there's a point where common sense kicks in, and you stop doing it because it's just sad and weird...

No way to enforce it. Have you people not heard of the NCAA before?

Ask a Penn State fan if the NCAA can arbitrarily decide to enforce a rule - even if they have no jurisdiction over the situation and no rule really exists to cover it.

Anyone saying they can't/won't enforce this rule is fooling themselves. Let's just hope they don't decide to enforce it at us. SMH

Hypothetically, if it were to happen, would that get ArmyAllen a lifetime ban?

You're comparing institutional cover-up of child rape to tweeting recruits. Try again.

how would they enforce this? would they enforce it against every school? what if i create an account and talk to michigan and osu recruits just to sabotage them? there really is not way to enforce this against people like army allen. i could see them enforce it if coaches or even player abused it, but even then there would be no serious repercussions. i posted an article about them enforcing this with schools who already were on probation, the sanctions amounted to nothing.
