Funny thing was, Bo said there is a hip pointer and a "hip pointer". Basically it was there is a hip pointer that some guys can play through and there is a hip pointer that takes a few days.

Q pretty much said the receivers didn't have any bad drops. Just said some of the throws were hard to catch, but they still need to catch those balls. Thats what makes great receivers. Its easy to make the easy catches, but sometimes you have to make the really hard ones.
Was asked if Taylor had rust and said he didn't want to answer it because he'd get in trouble.
Said Tommy has a confidence about him and that he hates to fail and throws a really nice deep ball.

I'm still pro-Martinez, as in Taylor, the person (as I'm sure everyone is). But as a starter here, no, he's gotta go. Bring on RKIII or Tommy (preferably Tommy, as he's the future).

Yep, me as well. Love what Martinez has done for Nebraska, he will always be fondly remembered here in my opinion. But this is business, to a degree.

I'm not listening to it, but it sounds like Q's saying the things that need to be said, but he needs to start catching the damn ball when it's thrown to him as well. Tommy better start against NW or I'm gonna flip out!

Some people (Army_Allen) think I just make this stuff up. I mean, literally 20 minutes ago I said Enunwa told Beck he didn't think Taylor was helping the team and contributed to a poor week of practice, and then just now Quincy throws TM under the bus (essentially) by saying the QB has to make the tough throws and that he didn't want to say something to get him in trouble when he was DIRECTLY ASKED ABOUT TM. If you're going to say something good about him, you won't get in trouble... So.. yup.
Unfortunately, someone is going to have a talk with Enunwa now. It also seemed like Tommy was throwing some jabs at Taylor - or expressing his confidence in his self without admiring Taylor like last week. (Taylor is our qb, blah blah blah, and now he said I have to have faith in our coaches).

Hard to dislike a guy who is willing to play through unending amounts of pain for the program. The last 3 years we probably needed it.. this year, we don't.

BUT.......he did state the QB needs to make the balls catch-able, in essence. (Paraphrasing)
I am glad Q had the balls to say something like that.......and he did tell it like it was. Stated that the receivers need to catch the tough thrown balls, but alluding to that the QB is responsible for getting it there in a solid fashion.
I think Tommy will start.....
