I'm not so sure he was underrated though. He was an All-American like you mentioned and won the Rimington Trophy. Plenty of recognition there. Of course, this is just my opinion. Awesome center either way.

I think Steve Warren was underrated. He was an All-Conference player, but wasn't as vocal as Jason Peter, so he didn't get the hype/attention that Peter did. Warren just did his job at a very high level.
