**** What we learned - Illinois edition ****

I'm certainly no Taylor Martinez hater but this offense is in much better hands than the previous four years. Tommy sure has room to improve in the decision making department but he can manage a game and provides leadership. His throwing ability is light years ahead of TM's. I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but the QB difference is the main reason our O is so much more prolific and effective. TM was a special talent and gave a lot for this program but TA is much better for making everything click.
Agree completely.

Whenever Tommy checks down, he never hands the ball off. Need to handoff every once in a while after checking down.

sarcasm.....but what?

1. To have a chance next week, Armstrong will need to throw the ball better. A lot better.

2. AA might just very well be the best college football player in America.

3. Cross needs to learn to lower his head and shoulders at the end of his runs, or Mich. State will strip the ball from him multiple times.

4. Beck still has a problem with throwing to backs and getting TA to check down, even though they are usually very successful plays.

5. Losing Mitchell is a big problem.

6. The linebackers on this team not named Gregory are all just about invisible. Thought it was telling that we spent the whole second half playing in nickel and dime sets and using the bigger defensive backs to blitz.

7. That referee sucked and seemed like he was only interested in getting on TV a lot.

8. We will be a big underdog next week but that's probably a good thing for us.

-The uniforms sucked

-The crowd knows the ins and outs of the wave. Slow-mo and hyper fast.

-The wiener-schlinger is capable of firing a hot dog over the press box into the street.

-The ladies love Joe Ganz pants. And the guys too apparently.

-Ameer is Ameer and Randy is Randy

Check, yes I said a win. Next, MSU - I did believe before the season we would face MSU twice this year. I could be wrong too.

Oh, I had a hard time reading the numbers on the uni - could we trash this idea next time - another uni styled after Captain America

Ameer with ice on his knee makes one sick in the stomach.

Pounding the rock just feels better than finesse football.

Beck mustof read my Imani Cross thread.
