Stadium food doubling as projectiles: A two-part post

I luck out and live close to the Gretna Mall and work by the 90th Fort location. Nothing better than driving a few miles to pay for quality taco. Heard the owner on 1620 this morning....sounds like a guy I'd like to have a beer with.

How are the Vodoo Taco's? Never had one?

(Now we wait for this to make it into the OOCQ thread)
Delicious!!! They're kinda highfalutin like Chipoltle or Oso, or any of those other hipper joints, but it's real good. Really wished they had a place in Lincoln, but the closest is the outlet mall in Gretna.
Every time I pass by there I wanna stop. But the wife never pulls in. IM A MAN DADGUMMIT! I EXPECT A VOODOO TACO!

Your wife drives you around? What color of dress are you wearing?

Ive been driving since I was 14. What man wouldnt want a chauffeur? If youre compensating for something thats cool I guess...

My chauffeur was my mom and dad....Then I hit puberty and have driven ever since.

I have a homemade pneumatic potato launcher that I made that has a Schrader valve for pressurization. I would not want to catch anything coming out of there at 80psi. I forget the PVC sched # but it is rated well over 100+ psi. If anyone lives in the Omaha area and wants it, you can have it for free. It just sits in my garage...must be getting too old for these toys.

That's pretty cool. Maybe one day you'll find a gal.

Hell yeah I'd dig that. I have a younger brother as well who's a huge tech and mechanical buff who'd love to see it.

A bit of a topic tangent, but most guys like home made devices designed to launch projectiles. While we never launched food, we could have. On 11th Floor Abel, we had a dude trying to make the Lancers as a Goalie.(He was from back East). To help him practice,.we built a good old fashioned polish cannon (don't mean to offend any Polish friends out there, sorry). Cut the tops and bottoms out of about 8 tin cans (like Mary Kitchen Corned Beef Hash), then taped them tight end to end with duct tape to create a long solid tube. We left one can bottom on for the butt of the cannon. We poked a hole in the butt end of the cannon, then stuffed a big wad of cotton balls clear down inside. Then we'd douse the cotton balls with an undetermined amount of lighter fluid (pre butane days kids). Stuff a tennis ball in the front end, hold a finger over the hole in the end, then shake the thing to make sure the fluid had time to vaporize well. Wally would get down at the end of the hall with his goalie gear on and we'd get about half way down the hall the other way and put a match to the opening in the butt of the cannon. Didnt ever measure the muzzle velocity, but Serena Williams wouldn't have returned any of them. With a three pack of tennis balls, we kept Wally pretty busy. Had a few problems with fellas stepping out of their dorm rooms at inopportune times and had to shut it down.

I imagine it would have launched a burger, hot dog or burrito pretty well too!

Edit: Wally never did make the team.

Happily married to my wife with a wonderful son. I hope you know I'm just giving you sh#t

I remember as a kid, at the old baseball stadium, watching an Omaha Royals game catching a free hotdog, I believe I took it to one of the stands that had a microwaive and they nuked it for me. I also put on ketchup and fixings at the stand. That said as a 11 year old it might be easier to get that done, then as an adult lol...

Totes.

I usually let the wife drive her rig because then I can keep updated with the happenings on Huskerboard while I ride. Or ya know, because I'm lazy and don't wanna do it. I lucked out and married a good driver although she has her moments.
