The Village of the "Banned"

RunRedRun is banned.

It's the result of him getting a three-day suspension (from me), and as soon as the suspension was lifted, sending a PM attacking me over the suspension. The odd, pointless dispute he got into didn't earn the ban. LINK The PM did.

Why the hell is True banned? His last post was at 430pm and I've been away till about an hour ago. Can't seem to find why he would be banned. Seems reading through the offending posts that there are others I would have thought were banned instead.

Someone shed some light?
True sent a PM to a mod requesting that his account be banned. His request was accommodated. I guess True was fed up with the negativity. I'll miss him. True was one of my favorite posters on HB.

Red and True are gone now? This really sucks. Especially considering we have a few posters that should be banned and still get to post. Going to miss those two.

Well those people will either figure it out and stay and be productive posters or they won't and they'll find themselves banned. Simple as that really.

they won't and they'll find themselves banned.

That's a shame. I didn't always agree with True, but I never had any issue with him. He'll definitely be missed.

It's a shame that we keep losing good posters, all the while the trolls keep controlling 90% of the content. But as long as they don't "break the rules" they're allowed to continue spreading their bullsh#t non stop.

Too bad we don't have some mods and admins willing to sort it out and do the right thing instead of just following some stupid f'ing rules. Look at the intent, the constant trolling and negativity. That sh#t is a lot more damaging to the board and community than some well deserved "personal attacks" as they are referred to. Good posters leave, negative asshat still posting. Sorry but that is way f#cked up HB. Apparently you (collectively) are getting what you want. Sad this place has turned into such a dumpster fire. Here's a suggestion; be a little preemptive, run off the dbags the long list of good posters are complaining about instead of letting it get so bad that the good posters don't want any part of it. It's not rocket science.

The rules need to be re-assessed. IMO repetitive posting should be a way more bannable offense than calling someone an a-hole. I think posting (essentially) the same thing in 3+ thread over a period of less than 1 week should get a warning. If it happens again a suspension. If it happens again a ban. There are a handle of posters, and I don't think I need to name names, who post the same tired sh#t over and over. Some in more than 50 topics. I don't care what they're posting about.

Absolutely, I agree.

And to clarify, I did not mean to infer that all the mods are not considering more than just "the rules". I was recently the beneficiary of some leniency from zoogs. What I said could've earned me a vacation. Of course I had had enough of one these post the same crap in every thread posters so I told them what I thought of them. I knew it would probably be frowned upon best case. But I didn't really care, I completely understand how a good poster can get to the point of requesting banishment. That should not be the environment that gets supported and I think zoogs and NUance get that. Not that some of the others don't but I have seen it firsthand with them.
