Like mentioned, the coach is responsible for everything! If players are not executing, that is coaching, if pitchers are not pitching.. that is coaching!

Next year they should just line up the coaches and decide who wins - it would save on travel cost.

No fans don't control players, however usually a fan says at least one good thing a year. If not why be a fan - there are a lot of teams to choose from.

Sure did yesterday when they gave up 24 runs on 200+ pitches. They didn't learn to pitch overnight, Nebraska couldn't hit the ball off a tee right now, and at some point "WELP THAT'S BASEBALL" doesn't really hold much water. Beating up on some weak Big 10 teams didn't mean much, obviously.
