Pokemon Go

Mine's froze a handful of times. Not enough for it to be a nagging problem.

Went for a ride on the 'L' brown line down to Lake Michigan and walked up and down Diversey Avenue and around Lincoln Park for a while tonight (just got back actually). Found 3 lures that people placed on Pokestops, and used a Lucky Egg to get double the XP for half an hour, and ended up catching a Pidgeot, a Wartortle, a Growlithe, a Haunter, a few Staryus, a Myme, a Tauros, an Evee and a Horsea (as far as new finds).
Jesus, my "rarest" pokes in 3 days of playing are Venonat, Evee, and Drowzee. Apparently I need to get back to Chicago.

I think there's definitely huge advantages of playing in big metro areas. For one thing there are Pokestops absolutely everywhere - jump on the train and you'll hit like 15 of them in 5 minutes to get tons of items, and there seem to be higher densities. It's so weird and nerdy and bizarre and awesome seeing a bunch of reddit channels and facebook groups for pokemon catching in major cities - there's an event to play Pokemon Go at Millenium Park this Sunday with over 3,000 people rsvp'd

Where's everybody at on this? I'm-

Level 6

31 Pokemon

Strongest one is Primeape cp324 hp48

Next is Ponyta CP219 hp34

7 others over cp100

Weakest Diglett cp10 hp10

Some notables that may not be usual?- Drowzee, Weepinbell, Zubat, Abra, Onix, Pikachu

Have not evolved any yet and have only hatched one (Jigglypuff) but I have 2 more about ready to pop. (If I'd walk more and drive less that would help)

Only have 2 incubators. with 6 eggs waiting to go in.

38 potion, 28 revive, & 3 incense

Have not done a gym battle. That part of it doesn't appeal to me.....yet.

I'm sure I'm way behind the curve of anyone taking this halfway seriously. My son has been going out with buddies till the wee hours of the morning, driving all over town, doing gym battles etc.

I'm not playing either, I was never into Pokemon. But for my job we had to do a live shot down at our main street square for giving meters, I was down there for a good half hour and there were at minimum 50 people who walked past me catching those damn things.
