Non-Call on Westerkamp

I'm being totally legit here: I'm not sure the non-call was all that bad. I kind of thought that during the game but wanted to watch it a bit more.

I'd really like to see another angle on this. But it looks to me like Westy slows up and I'm not sure if Watt initiated any contact.

Honestly looks like a bit of.a flop by West to me. And I'm a huge Westy fan. But I just don't see much there.

Agreed.

I think I actually think more of our team after this game than before. We have a great team. Just didn't do enough on offense.

Would have liked to have seen designed Tommy keepers on 1st & 2nd to start our overtime drive. Disappointing to lose that way, but our underrated defense played so well.

That is the definition of pass interference. Unless incidental contact was made, which I think Watt prevented his path to making the catch and it should of been called.

I might have a Nebraska bias on the call but it should have been called. If its fourth down I could see a no call but he had no chance to make a play on the ball cause a defender was impeding his progress to make the catch.

Blocked the receivers path to the ball and wasn't looking for the ball himself. Agree he didn't make much contact it looked like though. Hard to say, should have won the game elsewhere though this would have been huge

I disagree. Westy appears to be slowing down because he was settling into the spot he needed to be to catch the ball. Did he flop? Possibly but Watt still interfered with Westy's ability to catch the ball. IMO, it's no different than when a defender picks off a receiver going across the middle. That's my uneducated opinion.

Face guard is supposed to be automatic in CFB. That is a face guard and impeding progress towards the ball. Its the same call as if the DB slowed down in front of the receiver on a go route.

It was PI. They didn't call it. Oh well.
