***Official Iowa Game Discussion Thread***

It's sure gonna be great when these seniors graduate. Newby's remarkable, though; he's played in every game in his career, and gone to the sideline with an injury twice as many times.

 
I just can't believe we are losing to Iowa. They are not that good. We are just not competing. I love this team and I bleed husker red and it hurts me when I see my team get manhandled like this. I really hope we turn things around in the second half but the team seems to be playing very timid and scared. Just not the correct attitude for us to pull this game.

I love Tommy. He is the toughest man alive. He is a great zone-read QB. It's not his fault that he is being coached by morons. All he can do is go out and try to execute the game plan he is given. If he is not doing what the coaches want, then perhaps his offensive coordinator and QB coach (cough, cough Langs), could coach him to do the right thing. Or come up with a game plan that plays to his strengths.

He can't run and he can't throw and, somehow, that's the coaches' fault? Flawed logic that.

 
I'm willing to give Banker another year. The defense has made drastic improvements since last year.

Langsdorf's offense hasn't impressed me these 2 seasons. I wouldn't shed a tear if Riley made a change here...he won't do it, but one can dream.

then when the camera pans to the sideline. Everybody has "is the game over yet" look. Reilly looks like he wants to do something but can't/won't.

At OSU, his guys were safe. No one was getting fired. A .500 season and a howl was awesome. Blowouts and Or that head scratching loss were expected. At NU, no way. He might finally be realizing that to stay here, his buddies need to leave....

What do expect at QB regression U. A QB to get better ?? They peek late sophomore/early jr year then regress till there on par with a QB from waverly.

On 1st and 2nd, Iowa is loading the box with 8 to stop our very regular zone-read run plays. On 3rd they're bringing 5 and sitting in a zone to stop the pass. Very vanilla, but definitely working against this offense.

I would hope we make improvements from probably the second-worst defense in program history.

Going from terrible to average isn't much to write home about.
