Good to hear a story like that. I think it circles back to the coaching. It seems like Callahan is always doing something for the community whether its visiting the childrens hospital or raising money for diabetes or whatever. Reflects good on the program.

I know I speak for us all when we say that we really appreciate that. I haven't really met a bad SC fan yet and that's great considering where your program is now is where we used to be. Hopefully we will get back up there soon and beating SC would be a HUGE step in the right direction. It's going to be tough there's no doubt about that, but we'll see if we can get it done. :thumbsI know! Well thank you for saying so, it should be an amazing game either way. I do envy you a little though, I do miss the days when other teams would find moral victories by only losing to us by 10! you are a class act Heel, and if NU is to only lose 1 game this year I would rather lose a close game to USC early in the year, then UT later onI know! Believe me I know how you feel. That 13 year drought I have often spoken about is burned into my memory. Believe me, I am savoring this moment at the top, I know it won't last. I hope I don't come off as arrogant, but I am just gushing with pride and pent up frustration from those years when I had no come back for my accusers. I have gone from humiliation to pride again.
Nebraska will be back, you haven't fallen as far as we did. You have the all the essentials: tradition, facilities, reputation, fans, good team & coach, intangibles(like me pulling for you). You may be much closer to a return to dominance than you think.
When my oldest son graduated from SC, they beat Notre Dame for the first time in 13 years his senior year and it was a very big deal for the Trojan Family. When my oldest daughter graduated from SC this year, beating Notre Dame was a forgone conclusion. See how things can change quickly. Nebraska could be at its "Tipping Point", and the tipping point could come at our expense Sept. 15th!

Honestly a W over USC would be more like a land slide......a W over UT would be more like a "tipping point"! I'll take either one.........please just one of them.

Win or Lose that is going to be one hell of a week leading up to that game. It is not very often a team gets a chance to play the unanimous #1 preseason to prove that you are back. Let's just pray Callahan doesnt tighten up, and we at least get to let loose this year. Last year was pretty anti-climactic.
