He probably knows we are.  But you can’t really just come out and say that we are without some sort of repercussion.  It’s best to write the article the way it is and let us peasants debate it.

Is he considered credible?  Honest question, I don't know much about Tom Shatel.  

He's probably the most well-known sportswriter at the OWH.

As a side note, he acknowledges the Rittenberg comments in the article so he's aware 'Nebraska' reached out to UCF. This reads to me as more of a carefully worded article than an out of touch article.
