I agree.  If he goes and visits Wiscy I think he will pull the trigger and be a Badger.  Cant say that I blame the kid based on where the 2 programs are right now.  We can sell vision and hopes, they can sell results and hardware.

I completely agree with you - but how bizarre is that to say and for it to be true... 

 
Seriously, you come to Nebraska and like what you see and how they will use you, and then Wiscy comes in and offers out of the blue so late?  If I was Frost and Company I would put the full court press on him and his Juco coach for the next couple days, and if he hasn't signed with us by the start of the New year, I would tell him to kick rocks and hope Wiscy has room for him come so late in January.

 
I'd stick with the full court press to have him commit in the next couple of day - even if he chooses to decide later we still need to pursue this kid to enroll in January. If it gets past the 6th we likely become a non-factor as the logistics to make it work (as explained above) become very difficult.

Either way, we aren’t out of it. Will be a priority for the staff after this period ends. I am also sure that SF and Co get him on the phone today to make sure he knows he is wanted.

 
I mean I would love to get this kid, he looks like a gamer; however, if you look at our depth at LB, he's a luxury and not a glaring need:
