Huskers Dismuke, Stovall cited by LPD

Nebraska football players Marquel Dismuke and Jeremiah Stovall were cited by Lincoln Police on Friday evening after a traffic stop.
Dismuke was pulled over just before 8 p.m. because he had no front license plate on his car, according to LPD officer Angela Sands. Dismuke was cited for driving with a suspended license. Dismuke had a prior conviction for driving with a suspended license.
After an officer smelled a marijuana odor coming from the car, police found Stovall, a passenger in the car, in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

That's really, really, dumb on Dismuke's part.  Driving with a suspended license can get you jail time on a first offense in NE.  Not sure what the consequences are for being cited twice but can't imagine they're good.  On the other hand, can school just start already so these damn LPD cops can have something better to do.

You know what this really makes me think about...how me and my friends didn't get in more "trouble" in college.  I think I know one of my friends that got busted drinking in the dorms and had to take a class.

Suspended license is dumb. As far as the weed goes I was angrier when Jariah Tolbert got caught a few years ago by some doughnut eating cops as a wideout. Should have been an automatic boot from the team for being too slow!

What's wrong with these cops nowadays? Isn't being a Husker player worth just a friendly warning anymore? Buncha ticky tacky stuff. If they're on the team, Barney needs to let it go. Maybe once we start winning it'll carry some clout.

If I was a cop in a college town it would really take a$$h@!eish behavior for me to give tickets for most of this stuff...

Lots of warnings.  And I don't mean just for players I mean for college students in general.
