Not too worried at all actually about preseason rankings or whatever. Just gonna let it all unfold.
Exactly right, we will have a continuous climb toward the top!

who's we?Back in my day all the Big XII opponents would come here and chatter.
It's a good thing that people like @everybody knows my name hangs around and wants to talk sports. It means we're worth talking about/to.
I'm cool with that. At least there's a long history there, an organic trophy, and we need to even the overall series.Minnesota is our rival!
I like the smack talk from a Minnesota Gopher fan. In the last 50 years they have won the little brown jug 4 times....and lost it 38 times. :thumbs
NU beats Minny: Husker fans don't really careYou don't need to concern yourself with someone else's trophy. Since 2013 Minnesota and Nebraska are 3-3 head to head, smug guy.![]()

Minny beats NU: Minny fans write down the date/score and have T-shirts printed.
I grew up in Big Ten country with two big ten teams in my state...never once was that jug mentioned.Just now, everybody knows my name said:
Beating Nebraska is nothing compared to winning the jug. Tragically we don't get to play for it every year anymore.
That's inexcusable on Minnesota's part. We should have made that rivalry meaningful, but we couldn't. For many years starting in the '60s our administration was at war with the athletic department. We even had presidents who wanted to discontinue athletics altogether. There's no reason a huge school with gigantic resources should be a 98 lb weakling. Thankfully we have moved on from that dark period. But it's taken many years to get back to the point of expecting to win.I grew up in Big Ten country with two big ten teams in my state...never once was that jug mentioned.
