There is no controversy and very very few people care. I've already seen enough non-Nebraska cfb fans and journalists/personalities weigh in on it with knowledge of the situation for some time, and it's not something Frost has to worry about, because it's well received and internalized by everyone that Frost maintains high integrity.

I really wouldn’t care. Knowing the details this feels like a misdemeanor to me. A 40 year old man with kid porn should be a felony. A kid the same age as the other kids in the video doesn’t seem like a felony to me. I’m not in awe of what the courts say this is, our court system is a joke anyway. My guess is the national media don’t think much about it. Has anyone heard of anyone outside of Nebraska talking about if he will play the last 30 days? Not your friends friend in Iowa. Media

If he sits you are punishing him...you realize it's the exact same thing as being suspended from playing. What if it ends up being a simple misdemeanor but gets pushed back another month. Now the kid sat a month for jack squat.

Besides if you care about optics, sitting him against So. Alabama and then playing him against Colorado would look worse. We arent just talking one game here.

He has been accused. He’s also been charged. I don’t think it’d look worse if it’s resolved by then.

Maybe I am. My fear, as I’ve said several times, is a potential sh!t storm from the media, MeToo, Twitter mob, etc. If sitting him insulates Frost and NU from that, then I’m okay with it. Mo has put himself, SF, and the University in a tough spot.

Being punished for having a court date where you may end up as a felon, doesn’t seem terribly unreasonable to me. Like I said, I think he’s earned some time on the bench. 

Sure that could happen. What if it ends up being a felony? 

Innocent until proven guilty doesn’t mean one is free of consequence.

This is the big question the University has to weigh. 

If it's nothing and someone in the situation is lying, Mo is getting punished by sitting him for being caught up in a sham.

If it turns out to be something very serious, the University looks bad for playing him.

I guess if I were the University, I would have to look at what they know and make a judgement call.  From what I read, I would probably play him, but he would definitely know that if it is proven to be a very serious and credible complaint, there might be further punishment or suspension from the team coming later.

How did he earn time on the bench when this happened before he arrived? I mean s#!t, he's played a whole season since this incident happened. Someone made a good point further up. Is anyone else besides Husker fans fretting over this? Because Mo is on the depth chart and has been practicing. By all accounts seems like he will play and we are less than a week from the game. No s#!t storm. I think you are a bit hyper sensitive about the metoo stuff and I don't think this falls completely under that umbrella. Honestly, I don't think anyone will come at Frost for this in any way that will damage him. And I would feel that way if it was Iowas running back.

Yes. What happens on that 120 yard rectangle on Saturdays has absolutely nothing to do with morality. It is a sports competition, a game. It is not as if there are more or fewer points awarded to either team depending on whether or not they are "good people," "bad people," people that have committed crimes that they got away with or committed crimes that the public has found out about.

I've always been staunch on this position.

If he gets hit with a felony etc he deserves to have a suspension handed down. I'm just tired of people getting drug through the mud and punished before they have their day in court. As a society we have vilified people more and more before we even know if they are guilty. 

 
The only way I see the University getting in hot water or a bad reputation over this is if it comes out that they covered up or prevented the justice system to do its work on the issue.

From what I've understood, the staff and University have been very open with investigators and prosecutors ever since they found out there might be an issue.  That really is all they can do other than take appropriate action after the investigation and court case is complete.

That is fair and I believe this will show why its best to operate that way because I have a hard time seeing this get convicted as a felony. I think they could sit him in this game and say they are waiting for the results of the court date on the 3rd but I think beyond that he should play and he shouldn't be sat against USA as punishment. Coaches could play if off as waiting though and that would go over fine imo.

I think he’s earned some time on the bench because he’s brought all of this on himself, his coach, his team and his university. Actions have consequences, and sitting out a game or two pales in comparison to what is potentially at stake for him. 

Additionally I think he’s earned some time on the bench because of his decision making after the fact. This all came out in Feb, (if I remember correctly). He of all people should have been on the straightest and narrowest path. Then he gets busted for weed. (For the record, I don’t really care about weed, but it’s a pretty easy rule to follow) Yes it got thrown out because of a technicality. But it shows a pattern of poor decision making. 

Maybe I am taking it more seriously than folks here and the media at large. But I wouldn’t be shocked if this story grew legs and got a lot of attention. Especially if NU starts winning big games and moving up in the rankings. All of that brings scrutiny.
