They are less than a year apart aren't they? They weren’t the same age. She was a minor and he wasn’t. So maybe throw in some burpees too.
Edit: nevermind

So should be aggressively pursuing every 18 y/o with a 17 y/o GF then. Man if we think prisons are crowded now. They weren’t the same age. She was a minor and he wasn’t. So maybe throw in some burpees too.
They should probably aggressively pursue every 18 year old that distributes sex videos of minors, for sure.So should be aggressively pursuing every 18 y/o with a 17 y/o GF then. Man if we think prisons are crowded now.
I get what you're saying, but I disagree strongly that sending words versus sending a sex video are even roughly the same effect.I think I said this really early on when this thread first started - he could have gotten his point across to her in exactly the same way by just saying, "Hey, remember that time you _______?" And it's interesting because when you think about it that way, it really flies in the face of all of the posters saying that what he did was so incredibly heinous.
It would have had roughly the same effect as actually sending the video. Not exactly the same, but roughly. I think what @Moiraine and others have been saying sounds correct - that he wasn't under the impression she had been raped. It seems like the context is that getting contacted by her opened up some stuff for him that he didn't want to drag out again; the emotions of being dumped by an ex, etc., etc.

Totally. According to the letter of the law, they're worlds apart.
I should maybe have made it clearer that I was referring to his original intentions and the context of those intentions as it pertains to a lot of people that are pretty drastically committing character assassination against him.
Why is everyone who wants Mo to play, no questions asked constantly using imprisonment as an excuse when I and other are simply saying he shouldn’t play until it’s resolved and aren’t bringing up jail once?

I doubt very seriously there would have been so many delays asked for by his attorneys if sitting the whole season was on the table. And if the case ends up getting dismissed, he'd have to sit out the whole year for.... What reason?
My thought was Mo should be suspended for the first game this year to let him know that what he has done is wrong, and he deserves some type of punishment while the case is on-going. The University decided on a 1/2 game suspension, so me and the University have similar opinions. Why is everyone who wants Mo to play, no questions asked constantly using imprisonment as an excuse when I and other are simply saying he shouldn’t play until it’s resolved and aren’t bringing up jail once?
The revenge porn misdemeanor charge could still be valid, but the child porn felony charge could easily be dismissed.I doubt very seriously there would have been so many delays asked for by his attorneys if sitting the whole season was on the table.
As for the case case getting dismissed, They have all his phone, internet and apple records, and the parents of the girl saved all the communications, I’m not a lawyer but that doesn’t sound like a potential dismissal.
