No shortage of posters acting like douchebags amidst the rioting. I think anyone that feels so strongly that civil disobedience is such a virtue and that looting and property damage aren’t any sort of problem, should probably take their happy a$$ right down in the middle of one of these clusterf#cks instead of pontificating from the safety of their keyboards.

And I act like a thug  :lol:  I am legit laughing out loud. Please provide examples of this supposed “thuggish” behavior. I honestly think you’ve had a brain event.

Is this all because you didn’t appreciate being called self righteous and self important because you come off like a know it all d!€k head most of the time?

Are you upset about something?

Why do you constantly drag in the Bible and Christianity. You don’t even believe in those things. You have no faith in any of it yet that doesn’t stop you. You failed at the Christian faith. You didn’t get it. You don’t believe. Why should I care what your interpretation of me is? You don’t even know me.
 

Now scurry off and dig up so more links and sources and shine your light on more instances of “innocent” protesters getting gassed by the evil police. Just be sure to not mention any of the people and businesses being harmed when your “innocent” protesters turn into rioting thugs more interested in thievery, property destruction and assaulting police officer because....some civil disobedience over 200 years ago or some such bullsh#t that doesn’t have anything to do with today.

You pick and choose whatever is convenient at the time but the consistency is lacking. For some purposes, the Constitution and Bill of Rights should be ignored or rewritten, yet at other times they are an absolute blueprint that should be followed. The founding fathers got it wrong......until it’s convenient to claim they got it right. Christianity, religion, Jesus, who needs it? It’s nothing more than a myth.....until you want to point out how someone else isn’t doing it right. You claim TDS isn’t a thing but it’s crawled up your a$$ so far that lump in your throat is its nose. I can’t stand the guy but since I don’t waste 23 hours day in P&R incessantly complaining about Every. Single. Thing. That douchebag does or tweets, well that isn’t enough hatred to satisfy the great and powerful knapp.

Maybe instead of lecturing others on their hollowness and principles, you should try some introspection. Because nobody gives a f#ck what you think. You’re a fraud that likes to make yourself seem smart and important and oh so learned because you found something on the internet with a search engine. Big. f#&%ing. Deal. Get over yourself.

 
I'll just say JJ as someone else that's in P&R quite a bit that recently you seem more interested in implying we're pro-riot or pro-loot just because we're also alarmed at some of the police conduct we're seeing.

Let me be clear: I think the looting and rioting is awful and counter-productive. I think almost everyone else on the board does as well. The only one who's even sniffed voicing support or indifference to it is Landlord and I don't even think he meant it that way - he ultimately said it was more of him viewing this as an inevitable consequence of the inequality in our system.

I get it if you or people you know have been affected by this crap. Hopefully not.

But one could just as easily have their business or home affected as they could have a friend or family get shot or maced or killed by the police due to suboptimal policing. And just as frustrated as you are with some of the internet douchebags, some of us are really f#&%ing pissed dead black Americans keep piling up only for excuses to get made and empty words to be spoken and the system to be perpetuated unchanged.

We're all struggling right now.  I know I am. Try to go easy and be good to one another. Peace man.

I've not seen one single person actually say that, or even hint at believing that.

But if you'd count me in this camp of a caricatured perspective, I'm at the Atlanta protests.

It boils down to a couple things. I am frustrated with way too many things and I've lost hope that any of them will ever get better.

I'm frustrated that racism is still a thing. 50+ years of lawful equality yet things are not equal. Cops are still killing black men for no good reason. The protests are well founded and necessary but each and every time they turn violent and destructive I see years of progress, that we've already made, disappear. And it is inevitable. This is how it works. Protesters are doing the right thing and at the same time it is undermining the cause. That is a pretty hopeless realization. And it sickens me that we have large swaths of people in this country that revel in the hatred and chaos. I have a niece with a two black children. Their father (a great guy) died unexpectedly about the time this pandemic began. They were unable to have any memorial service because of the quarantine. I worry about the obstacles they and their white mother will have to endure. So yeah, I get a little angry when people on a message board think they know me and attribute false claims about my motives. I simply don't see how riots are going to help the problem or them. Protests yes, riots no. There are way too many innocent people being hurt and more that will get hurt. That isn't meant to discount the George Floyd's, it's just reality.

There might be some hope, some easing of the frustration if we had any leadership we could trust but we don't. We have the worst President in the history of human beings and the most ineffective and useless government imaginable. Where is the hope? The best leadership I've seen in this whole ordeal has been a couple press releases from college football coaches. That is a sad situation for this country to be in.

So yeah, I got frustrated and upset with some of our P&R regulars when they began pushing an agenda of more police brutality in the protests. Not because that brutality is right or should be condoned but because it is inevitable when there is absolutely nobody that is going to stop it. What is changing? What can change quick enough? A police chief somewhere got fired. Yeah, that'll solve the problem. All we have to look forward to is more rioting, more businesses being lost, more sh#t that is going to drag this country down further. And there is no hope on the horizon. Look at the clowns running for president. One of those useless empty suits is going to be elected. If it's the same one, more of the same. If it's the other one, the roles will reverse and it will be more the same. Basically this country sucks and is f#cked for as far as I can see.
