What I think I hear you saying is borderline ridiculous.

Statistics fall under the category of what we'd consider objective data. We analyze the data, and the data itself is objective.

The interpretation of what those statistics mean and/or policy extrapolation thereof is absolutely not objective - it's what would be considered subjective.

If you believe otherwise then we have a severely different view of reality, honestly. We can disagree about the interpretation of the data but we can't say that there's only one "right opinion" of a piece of data.
Could you be more condescending?

All I’m saying is there are many people in the Will there be football thread, all sharing a particular point of view, that demand every opinion shared that doesn’t match theirs provide sources. Maybe I said it poorly, but I certainly didn’t mean what you think.

We can argue about what a certain statistics mean, sure. But I’m not criticizing those that want to have a substantive debate informed by accurate information. That’s not what’s happening.

What does happen is someone provides data, which is then ignored or mocked because it doesn’t fit a narrative.

For crying out loud I was told I “cherry picked” information by directly quoting from Fauci today.

Damn you for cherry picking facts, data and information that totally debunks the other guy's opinion. So uncalled for

I'd say that post was more hyperbolic than condescending.

Sitting in the parking lot at a Walmart guy comes by and says "Covid19 really doesnt exist.... well not in the numbers they say." This was after he and a buddy of his went in maskless claiming "medical condition" and telling others they didnt need to wear one just tell them you have a medical condition.

I was in my car without a mask, but not required to wear one there. I do like to breath without a mask from time to time.

Reminds me of this I saw the other day.

Just jackasses everywhere.

Recipe?

I'd share mine but I don't know if the regulars at HuskerBoard could handle such awesomeness.

And I'm not even joking. It's really, really awesome.
Ha!

Well, besides the singer...the last one I did was smoked.  Nothing special actually, ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper...then I just smoked it and glazed it with ketchup and brown sugar.

You are a way better cook than I am.  I just sort of got into cooking about 3-4 months ago.  And I just grab stuff from How to BBQ right.

Eh. Not sure about that. I can follow a recipe, but it's always a process.

The trick is to find something you're good at and make that over and over. That way people think you're good when you're really just a hack.

Haha!  Just hope they don't catch on after the 20th time you made your "special dish"

Chicago style Italian Beef Sandwiches are next up.  I found a great recipe for it.  I have done them before but it has never been close to what you get in Chicago.

How often do you go back to Chicago? I've only been there once in the last 15 years, and that was a couple of years ago. We didn't get a beef sandwich, either. It was a quick trip.

I've had an Italian beef sandwich from Portillo's in Chicago and Amato's in Omaha.

For some reason, I'm not crazy about them. I can't think of many things in my life that involved beef that I haven't wanted to have again and a Portillo's Italian beef sandwich is one of them. Maybe I just had a bad batch.

Did you get it dipped?
