Tangent Thread - P&R Edition

THIS is something I can agree on, and stated as much in the OP.  He was awful in that interview, and that should have been easy stuff.

The Big Ten has always prided itself on its unity of purpose. That is badly lacking in this situation, and it's nearly inexcusable considering they had so long to prepare for the ultimate decision.
Or....was he awful in the interview because he's trying to sell something he doesn't agree with?

A massive economic destruction across 11 states, 10s of millions of people because of a 'delayed' season during a massive economic shutdown.  The economy has and always will be the deciding factor in every Presidential election.  Just a massive coinkidink that the best economy this country has seen in 50 years was shut down months before the election.  And another massive coinkidink that the Wuhan Lab of Virology that is the suspected source of this pandemic was funded and built by the obama admin.  I am willing to bet my life's savings that Kevin Warren, Larry Scott, and all of the University Presidents that voted 'nay' on a fall season (and the clear resulting economic devastation that would follow this disastrous decision) will be voting Biden this November.  They all want a return to the status quo.

WTF is this nonsense outside of P&R for?

POTUS did not refute Qanon when asked about it yesterday.  Ridding the world of satanists and child trafficking pedophiles...is that such a bad thing?

I think it's now become a slippery slope from mainstream Republicanism to QAnon or white nationalism/supremacism.

Which is both a sad consequence of what the party has allowed to fester and I believe the point @Cdog923 was trying to make the other day(s).

QAnon should definitely be a line in the sand. Keep that crap off the board or at the very least relegated here.

Covid is real no question, but was not treated correctly at the start and some still have no clue of what is going on with it.

I listen to this mask crap every single day.  You do know that a cloth mask is basically useless.  A paper mask does stop you from spreading the germs, but cloth does not stop it either way and adds to the danger when it is removed.  You do know that Fauci stated that temperature testing was not valid.  Guidelines change continuously.

HCQ has been proven to work, but still is basically banned for what ever reason.  Check with Dr. Harvey Risch of Yale.

This isn't about masks or numbers, it is about November 3rd.  I told you months ago that the Pac 12 was not going to play football this year.  The state that houses four of the teams had stated no gatherings over 50 people would be allowed until 2021.

Before Friday night I would disagree. However, while at a Biden/Harris rally (there because I won't vote Trump but hoping to be convinced that Biden might be an improvement. Left certain that I won't vote for either) the speaker commented that everyone should follow the covid guidance being pushed as it is intended to remove the current administration. The speaker was asked about the B1G season and the response was "your conference is home to 4 huge battleground states so I'll leave you to figure out why there's no B1G sports". My jaw hit the floor. Never did I expect leadership in this country to go to such lengths.

The action of the politicians does not surprise me.  What does is that they would admit it.  Politicians may have always murmured Never waste a good crisis, to each other, but saying it publicly can only be hubris.
