The 2020 Presidential Election - Convention & General Election

It's not my fault you contradict yourself every election cycle.  Biden supported the war in Iraq and worked to make it happen.  Then he was against it.  Then Biden wanted to trisect Iraq.  Then Biden wanted to make a quick withdrawal.  Then ISIS happened on Obama-Biden watch.

fyi we are energy independent (no thanks to the dynamic duo, Biden doesn't remember if he supports fracking).  Whatever oil you're talking about was not going to be sold in the USA.
Well, you contradict yourself in the same cycle.  You're supporting a guy who criticizes the military brass for lining the pockets of the military industrial complex....meanwhile...that's exactly what HE has done and brags about it constantly.

I'm sure as a good republican back when Bush was going into Iraq, you were speaking out against it.

Trump has a hard time getting past a September 2002 interview with shock jock Howard Stern. Stern asked Trump if he supported the looming invasion.

Trump responded, "Yeah, I guess so."

Trump dialed that back a bit in another interview in January 2003, a few months before the invasion. Fox News’ Neil Cavuto asked Trump whether President George W. Bush should be more focused on Iraq or the economy.

"Well, he has either got to do something or not do something, perhaps, because perhaps shouldn't be doing it yet and perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations, you know," Trump said. "He's under a lot of pressure. I think he's doing a very good job. But, of course, if you look at the polls, a lot of people are getting a little tired. I think the Iraqi situation is a problem. And I think the economy is a much bigger problem as far as the president is concerned."

So Trump put the economy ahead of confronting Iraq, but he didn’t speak against going to war. At most he suggested waiting for the United Nations to do something.

Trump has been challenged many times in this election to explain his early acceptance of the war. In a February 2016 interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, Trump said that he didn’t know what he meant during his 2002 conversation with Stern.

"That was a long time ago, and who knows what was in my head." Trump said.

Must be nice to just go as the wind blows on this stuff and then lie about it afterward. He's quite good as a windsock.

I'm guessing this is just fake news or somesuch to you. But it's a testament to how badly Trump is choking right now that his dogged supporters are trying to retcon positions he didn't actually have while continuing to lie about Biden's positions.

I see a lot of bad stuff happening on Trump-Pence's watch. Is that our official burden of proof?

Also, apparently a lot of fairly hawkish and oil-friendly stuff happened on the Obama-Biden watch, so you can assure your friends that Biden is nowhere near a socialist lefty.

Media question:  I see all these Lincoln Project videos being shared online. Is that the strategy here? Making it free and viral?  Or has anyone seen a Lincoln Project video or ad in a paid advertising format, like broadcast TV?

I live in California, where neither party bothered to spend money in 2016, conceding it to Hillary. So I never know what the rest of the country is seeing.

President Trump has been consistent with his campaign once in office, not starting foreign engagements and looking for ways to exit the current ones.  That's quite rare for a POTUS.  Since the 20th Century Presidential candidates usually campaign on not sending American boys to do a job that foreign boys should do for themselves. Then once in office they discover that the world is forcing America to join a war.
