Yeah, not even close. Not a fan of her at all but she's no where near as bad as Trump. Pelosi is part of the old gaurd problem. You can find me on here not being happy that she was elected speaker again. She needs to go, but she doesn't consistently put this democracy in danger.

And the old gaurd problem has been a problem for the 4yrs of Trump, plus another 4 decades.  So if we are solely talking tenure.....

Many if not all elected politicians lie and/or hyperbolize to fit their respective truth.

So if we accept the above to be true for this argument's sake, I think the biggest differences between Trump and Pelosi are scale and severity. Pelosi is about as bad as a standard politician gets. Trump packaged that political standard, injected it with steroids, covered it in war paint and went to work four half a decade. Hence my comparing the two of them to landmines earlier. Pelosi would be a landmine... a big one, but no less something we're familiar with. Trump is a landmine attached to 100 sticks of dynamite and a Napalm strike, with some nuke codes in the back pocket. Do I want to step on either? No. Is one objectively worse than the other? Yes.

And perhaps the biggest example of this is what we've seen with the election. Trump actively spit in the face of democracy with his false claims of rigged elections and voter fraud. He said from the beginning that anything but a victory for him would be fraudulent. He doubled down on these lies time and again. He kindled fire after fire among a radicalized supporter base. And this blatantly disrespectful behavior led to an attempted insurrection. I don't think we've ever seen a president... the most powerful person in the world... behave in this manner. At least in modern history.

He is objectively and unequivocally worse if not for the sole reason that he behaved like this while President of the United States.

Pelosi is the old timey politician that only cares about herself and uses other people.  We were all used to that.

It's not just a matter of what we're used to. It's not like we're comparing 2 equal bad things and we've just become numb to bad thing A so it doesn't seem as bad. B is far worse than A but they both suck.

Pelosi uses the system to her benefit and there are some obvious ways to improve it, and she never will. Same with lots of her colleagues. Trump wants to tear everything down, including the good parts, for his own benefit even if it means ruling over the ashes.

In terms of demeanor, attitude, patience and tactics Trump and Pelosi remind me of eachother frequently.
