Bill Moos Out As AD at Nebraska

Frost was only like four games into the 2017 season when Moos was hired. Frost was a contender for the job at that point, but hardly the slam dunk hire who just had an undefeated season that he would be by the time we hired him.
Absolutely. But, Moos was hired under the presumption he would go after SF. If he didn’t get him, move on, but SF was who the brass wanted.

You may be right. They went clear to the West coast to reel in Moos under the condition that he would go all in on Frost during the last search. Green loves SF and he will include him and protect him during the transition, at least for next few years.
SF was the hottest coaching prospect that year from what he did at UCF.  To say otherwise is foolish, every school with a chance to dump there old coach or one with a losing season was looking at frost.  I still dont get how this is overlooked.

Not going to dispute that because you are correct. Not every AD went after him though. Florida made a small run at him. Mullen, Fisher, Kelly and Sumlin all had proven big time success at much larger programs and conferences. Moos was brought here as the salesman who could reel him in and he did a great job, along with Hoiberg and Bolt.

Nebraska is a work ethic state. Most of us have little patience for someone who is highly paid- who choses not to invest the time. Mike Riley comes to mind- add a much more likeable Bill Moos to the list.

Easy to see- Mr Moos wasnt at the Rutgers football game last year. He didnt attend the ARKANSAS REGIONAL this year. Those are just 2 high profile events everyone knows of, Im sure there are many others. YOu lead by example- and that sets a poor example. Hes 70 and has all the money he will ever need, Im sure the lack of motivation is very real then
