It's one thing if your penalties are things like false starts on 1st or 2nd down; or defensive holding on 1st or 2nd down....things that hurt, but are survivable. 

But look at our penalties today.  Roughing the passer - though questionable - negates a turnover.  AND...another 15 yards added for taunting.  30 yard penalty instead of NU ball in Illinois territory.

Now an OPI that negates AM's best pass into the red zone.

We are just a mess.

 
It's going to be a hard pill to swallow people, but at this point if you factor in the recruiting level vs the product on the field it would be pretty hard to argue right now that we are not the worst team in the nation. Need to make some very tough decisions going forward
Not tough or hard.  Everyone knows the problem.....

Stat wise this game looks close and it looks like Nebraska did okay. That’s been our damage for years, on paper things don’t look bad. But the overall end result is losses and no improvement.
