New Staff Selection

Blasphemy. Smothers is fast, but he hasn't shown that he can make tacklers miss anywhere close to the way Crouch did. Nor has he shown the willingness to punish tacklers the way Crouch did.
The point was to describe the overarching skill sets of the top 3 QBs on the roster.

Obviously Logan Smothers is not the same player as Heisman trophy winner Eric Crouch.

Yes he was a decent runner in high school. He’s a long strider and it doesn’t appear he is running fast but he eats up a lot of ground in the open field. He may not be the most elusive QB though.
Agreed. Both he and Torres are more in the body type & skill set zone of a Trevor Lawrence type.

They’re not Trevor Lawrence, obviously. But similar builds & skill sets.

I’d love to see Frost’s scheme with a guy like this at QB. But I think we’ll need a guy that can actually coach pocket skills to get them into a place where they could be successful.

Sean Callahan's current rumblings, most have already been brought up in this thread:

OC - no info, gets the feeling it's potentially a sitting head coach or something like that that's keeping it under wraps

OL - Donovan Raiola seems to be the favorite

WR/Recruiting - Joseph

ST Brumfield or Busch - Bush is currently on the road recruiting for the Huskers
