I think we know what we would be getting with Casey.  Purdy is much harder to gauge imo.  The sample size is too small and there were other circumstances impacting him.  Injury, disfunctional team, etc... 

 
Purdy has four years of eligibility, while AFAIK Thompson only has two years, so there's some decent separation there. Question is whether Purdy is OK riding the pine for a couple years.
Purdy would still have to beat out whatever development that happens over that time period. If Thompson can come in and win us enough games which would draw more talent to the program, purdy would be in an even thicker pack in the QB room. Thompson or bust for frost IMO

Hard to see him go to OU. I get his dad played there and trying to get back at Sark for bringing in Ewers, however Gabriel is there and reunited with his former OC.

Uh, Texas played OU in October.  We are in January.  Do we have anybody here that can do math, and see if that adds up to one year?
