Who should our next HC be?

I think its a combination of things. His personality in certain press conferences have come off as a little Bo Pelinish. Rude, my way of doing things. Second you don't know if you fully have him committed for 3 years or longer and certainly you hope you do with the next coach. You don't really see alot of coaches staying at certain places for a long time bc of bigger or better opportunities or even leaving for a challenge. A place like Nebraska you do need at least 3 years to turn it around unless your a absolutely home run hire with recruits (Urban lmao). So long term commitment you question about him as well.  BoB doesn't pop even if he was at Penn State or the coach for the Texans.
He doesn’t seem to be a person that can suspend his ego. How well does that mesh with a Nebraska fan base during a rebuilding phase…

What he accomplished at Penn State was impressive. At the Texans on the other hand was rather disastrous. Some things he hasn’t managed well. How much is he responsible for Alabama’s offensive struggles? Doesn’t appear to be a long term solution. Maybe somehow that works as part of a larger strategy.

If true, Jeff Grimes and crew will address the O-line issues effectively.
It would be a great hire if it happens. I wouldn’t see it as a rebuild either as Mickey has been doing work since he took over. I think the rebuild started after Oklahoma. Aranda, Mickey, and Busch bring much needed continuity that the players would appreciate. Grimes is a stud and would bring that nasty toughness back to the offense. Aranda definitely in my top 5 for hires and brings a level of excitement when I think about because of the Mickey and Busch element. Guessing Applewhite would stay too to solidify that Texas recruiting.

I know you're not going to believe me and a lot of people say things like this, but I know someone in the AD. We'll see if I'm right.
I get that but just this week Chris Petersen and Lane Kiffen names were brought up as well. As a Husker fan it gets tiring with all this pure speculation as to who the next coach is going to be.

I can see a scenario of Aranda being hired with Grimes possibly remaining at Baylor as their HC. Joseph assumes the role of OC. Eric Mateos is a mighty fine offensive line coach. He could maybe even serve as OC sometime down the road.

Aranda isn’t “elite” but he is very good. He’s a smart cat. I think he’d have a stabilizing influence. I like the possibility of inroads to successfully recruiting the west coast and Texas which I think he could do.  I’d hate to seeing Grimes get lost in the shuffle yet it might be inevitable.

Aranda would a be a good hire. They run a physical spread with an effective play action and screen game. I don't see Mickey as OC, though, considering he has no experience in that position?

Aranda would make sense since him and Mickey are friends from their time at LSU. Would probably be the hire that is most likely to understand Mickey’s value and keep him on staff.
