Wasn't the new west stadium stuff under construction in 1997? I want to say it opened in 1998?

Cook Pavillion is also missing in that pic.

(I got there that same fall)

Groundbreaking was in 97.  So it could have technically started before I actually started classes.  I don't remember the exact timing but something close to that.

I'm so old that this is what the stadium and surrounding areas looked like when I enrolled.

Nearly unrecognizable now.

What year was that?  Looks the same for me in 85. 

Metadata on that picture says it's from 1973. Can't find a matching photo online to confirm that.

One of my all-time favorite highlights.  Just an amazing play by TMart when it happened live.  And the scenery was beautiful.  The colors between the teams popped and the run popped.  Loved it

Even though he was a snarky dork, I always liked Dirk and his writing at the OWH. My guess is that he tries to write some books and other freelancing.
