Democrats "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" Plan - Picking an alternate candidate.

Oooppfffff.   When your a Dem and you’ve  lost the NYT editorial board things are definitely not going well.
Interesting...this would sort of go hand-in-hand with the "meeting" that was supposed to happen in regards to the powers that be trying to talk JB out or running.

Now comes a hit piece on JB which might mean they had 2 articles.  When they did not get what they wanted out of the meeting, this is the article that they went with.

It’s anecdotal takes like this that really dispel the “Any regular middle aged Dem would be better than Biden” mantra I endlessly see and hear. There’s plenty of perfectly suitable candidates that are run of the mill Dems and also not convicted felons, but yet we dismiss them for some benign reason. Then we wonder why we end up with candidates like Joe and Donald.

It’s like we’re in a horror movie and the monster is chasing us. Up ahead there’s a running car we can get in and drive away, and someone says “What kind of car is it? Is it a hybrid? What’s the gas mileage? Are the workers that built it unionized? Does it have Bluetooth?”

What about Kamala?

It was interesting to see how things changed, even just throughout the day today.  Last night/early this morning even John Stewart was ripping on JB...by late this afternoon things changed.

I do not think JB is dropping out and really, he should not.

I'm sure they're as non-partisan as you...

She has been a good governor for the state and anyone saying otherwise is kidding themselves.
My family is one side or the other. Some are very vocal. Some are quiet. In 2020, my sister-in-law posted on Facebook that anyone who voted for Trump please unfriend her. Some of my neices are not on speaking terms because of politics. I stopped talking politics with family. It makes life easier. Whitmer and Newsome are bad choices. Find someone in the middle that is not ancient. How about Manchin? I would vote for him.

I unfriended and stop talking to a lot of people for being Trump supporters.  Several family members even.  They think it’s because of “political differences”.  They can’t grasp the idea that I don’t have an issue with traditional conservatism, my issue is I lost all respect for them and their  views on life by celebrating the guy.

People aren’t disgusted with the GOP because they are conservative, they just hate the personalities and methods that they have chosen to embrace.  You are who you associate yourself with…

This is stupid.

If you let politics AT ALL impact your family relationships or your friendships...you are or they are a$$h@!es.

I hate guns...gun owners are idiots.  Doesn't bother me at all if my friends own guns when we go drink and play golf.

I LOVE abortion, literally, love it.  I don't care at all if you are against it (and wrong), if you are my friend, we are still all good.

Anyone that tries to justify it...is an a$$h@!e.  Period.

This is like dorks that get divorced and try to make friends/family pick a side.

No...you might be judged by others but that is not who you are.

I have two best friends.  One LOVES guns and tattoos.  I hate both.  But we are still best friends.

The other LOVES super ultra liberal views and wants to live in a f#&%ing yurt, which I did not even know that that was...I don't care at all, we are best friends.

Yep.  And I see a lot of people I used to respect a lot differently now.  They are most likely the same person they were.  I just got a clear look  through a pretty large window into what they were really like.  I was pretty disappointed.

Sounds like you guys were never really friends.  You were just acquaintances.  Big difference.

If you lost a real friend over something like abortion...well...

You’re  Mostly right, but some are cousins and even my brother to an extent (but we aren’t really close anyway).  But my point was my issue with Trump supporters isn’t political beliefs, it’s the fact that they celebrate such a crappy person.  I’m not talking about stopping being friends because they voted for the guy, I’m talking about the people who brag about voting and supporting him.

i live in Nebraska. If I did t associate with people that voted for him, I’d never get to leave the house.

I had to stop after "you are mostly right" because you are the first person, EVER, to say that to me.  Hahaha

He's coughing while speaking. The reports that he was sick last night could be true.

This wasn't the same guy we saw last night. Weird.

I voted for Bob Dole in 1996. He was dry and boring, and lost to the charismatic Bill Clinton.

A few weeks after Clinton's second inauguration, Dole went on the Letterman show. He was funny and charming, totally different than he was during the campaign. It was frustrating. Where was that guy during the campaign?

On what grounds are they bad choices?
