While true, I think Vance's transition from "Trump is America's Hitler" to graveling at his feet is so pathetically obvious that I'm surprised Trump voters fell for it. Now, I have dramatically low expectations for these people, because getting grifted is second nature to them. But c'mon, it's like a snake oil salesman showing up to your door in a snake costume and selling "It's Totally Not a Grift: Elixir of Eternal Life" bottled water you saw people filling up down the street with garden hoses. It's so easy to see coming that you'd think anybody with a few functioning neurons could spot.

 
You see, it's a lot more difficult to carve out policy that helps the white working class where JD Vance grew up and winning elections based off of that. That's why you abandon all principles, become a historic embarrassment, engage in a made up culture war battle and accomplish nothing in the pursuit of power. All things Trump admires.

I called this months ago. Politics isn't that complicated because voters aren't complicated guys.

But, see, that snake oil salesman told them he's going to make them great again and he's the only one in the world that will tell them the truth and...OBTW.....he's the greatest ointment salesman the world has ever seen and he knows all the bigliest words.

Also, polling is not voting. Neither candidate can be winning or losing because the voting hasn't started. Polls are more like pre-season Vegas odds - like firing your coach just before the season based on the Vegas lines.

I’m a republican keeping my options open. I will listed to the democrat nominee if: 

Biden is replaced, or 

Biden remains and Harris is replaced. I do not think Biden will finish his term if re-elected.

Well stated.  Amazing how these guys, JD, Rubio, Lindsey, Cruz etc, all lose their spine when they sniff the opportunity for power.  The Senate is full of GOP wimps without moral backbones.    They change their colors immediately after putting their finger in the air and see which way the political wind is blowing.   If power corrupts them this easily, I can only imagine that after one of them replaces Trump (assumption Trump wins in 2024 and serves 4 years) how they will exceed Trump in their corruptness in office.  Poor Nikki - she could have set a different tone for 2028 if she had not caved into supporting Trump.  She, too, will have to defend her endorsement.  

 
Goes down to loyalty.  Trump values loyalty to him above all else - not to the constitution or the country mind you- so forget Mike Pense .  You conquer the guy (Trump does this with his unending childish name & public humiliation - Think of Ted Cruz not standing up for his wife or his dad after Trump attacks) so guys like JD and Rubio, and Cruz  becomes like a beaten down lap dog that becomes tied to his master's hip.  Trump doesn't want an independent thinker - someone who could bring new ideas and counsel into the position.  Only yes men need apply.
