I’m old enough to remember republicans ranting about how a freshman senator isn’t qualified to be president. 

I think JD and Harris besides Obama were in the Senate no longer than 2 years before they received their respective nominations

Both VP "candidates" are about as qualified to be President as was Dan Quayle. 

We'd be fully screwed if either of them had to take over.  We're only mostly screwed with the Presidential choices.

Of course. Unsure where you're leading with the question, but he had held the position. I wouldn't sculpt his image on a mountain, but I also don't think he was complete crap (not going to blame him for Covid).
