Trump Cabinet

Honestly, this is amazing.

Trump is assembling an all-star team of stupidity. The political lesson to be learned from this disaster is that, as President, your primary goal needs to be: keep the price of of XXL Deep Fried Nacho Cheese Chalupa's as low as possible.

The next time a Democrat is President, they need to treat the median voter like Republicans do with contempt and to weaponize their immense stupidity. I propose the next President institute a program similar to the Roman Grain Dole. But instead of giving away bread, they give away lard-dipped XXL Deep Fried Nacho Cheese Chalupa's. They'd win 40 states easily.

Remember when Pete Hegseth was considered one of the more reasonable Trump appointments cause he went to Princeton, served in the military, and looked good on camera?

According to a bevy of reports, he's an embarrassing public drunk who ran his small nonprofit veterans groups into bankruptcy while funding out of town parties, strip club ventures, rampant sexual harassment, and at least one charge of rape. On multiple occasions he was so drunk at official events, colleagues had to physically help him to his room. If you can overlook his moral failings, his financial mismanagement should give pause before handing him the keys to the country's massive warchest.

When the veterans Hegseth worked with learned Pete had been tagged for Secretary of Defense, the common response was "hell no!"

Fun fact: Hegseth used his time at Princeton to argue that it's not rape if the woman is passed out. Facing the recent rape charge, Hegseth's legal team created the non-existent claim that the victim had filed false rape charges before.

If those charges are true then he shouldn’t be Sec of Defense.  However we are gonna need some OTR sources vs the trust me bro guardian story.

I’m not saying it isn’t true or I don’t believe it.  I’m just tired of the anonymous bs that lots of times amounts to nothing

This article goes into more detail. Whatever you think about the New Yorker, they choose their words carefully and fact check stringently. Apparently Pete's own mother corroborated what an abusive a$$h@!e he is. The people willing to be on the record sources don't always fare so well in these situations.

Tough s#!t for them.   If they want the people to voice displeasure in Pete’s nomination then they need to come forward with established, corroborated facts.   Otherwise they can go cry in a river for all I care.   I’m in the camp of needing proof.  And those charges would seem relatively easy to provide that proof.

Not for nothing but his mom disavowed her own email based on the guardian article,  not sure what to take of that.
I’ll read this one after a bit
