Ed Foley FIRED

But his contract didn't expire.  He had had a rolling 2-year deal that was renewed 1/1/24, so he was good through the end of the 2025 season.

The whole idea that his contract expired 1/1 was false.

That seems highly dubious when this article from August 2024 - well after 1/1/24 - says his contract expires Dec. 31, 2024.

And I mean, gimme a break. When you've even got local media like 10/11 reporting that Foley is gone, don't you think they would've said something if the news reports were false?

Sean Callahan said it was false.  He said all assistants (besides Satt/White) were on 2 year deals that roll over and are auto extended.

All I can say is...

I've posted my source. If you've got a better source, post it.

Cute. Here's Sean Callahan saying Foley is out as Nebraska's special teams coordinator, posted a week and a half ago, for those still living in 2024. :LOLtartar

"On Saturday, Rhule relieved special teams coordinator Ed Foley of those duties. Football Scoop first reported the move, and it was confirmed by the University of Nebraska."

Summary is what I said above - all assistants have a 2 year contract that add another year every 12 months.  It is industry standard.

The summary is that Ed Foley is no longer Nebraska's Special Teams Coordinator. :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar
