Board is all sorts of broken at the moment...

Again, I access HuskerBoard mostly through my laptop, which has a bigger screen, easier typing, and it's not quite the clusterfest of the mobile version which features only two legible square inches of desired content at any time, along with a bizarrely frequent refresh rate.

It's a fast laptop backed by speedy internet service. Every other website or board I visit allows for quick and effortless scrolling. But once loaded, HuskerBoard really hates scrolling down. It pauses and hitches and detaches constantly --- almost like it has so many unwanted dynamic ads loading at any one time that it makes the simplest navigation a slog.

Some ads almost make it worth it (see below) but in general the online performance makes all of HuskerBoard less enjoyable, prompting me to keep a log of all advertisers and make it my life's goal to see that they go out of business.

Anyone else have this problem?

So many ads. Makes you not want to come on here. The site doesn't work right all the time being so slow loading or refreshing where you end up clicking on ads. Just a mess. Got to make money though

Just clicked on the x in the VRBO ad at the bottom of the page to dismiss it. Clicked on the X four times and nothing happened. It finally went away on the fifth, but reappeared second later.

How much would I have to pay you to get rid of all the dynamic ad billboards that make HuskerBoard a tiring experience?

@BigRedMax said he'd offer a $20 a year ad-free option, which I think is reasonable, I would pay for, but nobody seemed to notice or bite on:

The top and bottom ads are about the only thing keeping the lights on. If enough people are interested I can offer a no ads options for a small annual fee.

On HuskerMax it is $29.95 a year. For Husker Board I can set it at $19.95 a year. Need to have at least five members interested  in order to activate it.

My guess is because he made a post saying he would “work on an ads free option after the holiday. “.  Not sure if that meant Labor Day holiday or something else, but I haven’t seen an update since then.   Plus, how many people visit that specific thread to even know this is under consideration?   I have a hard time believing 5 people won’t take that option considering you already said yes and in did via the emoticon.   Just need three more to yes to an option that isn’t even out there yet.
