Wearing Black

I am I

So I was thinking that Wisconsin has very similar uniforms as us, and I have on occasion, stopped on a channel after seeing a red out stadium thinking I was missing something from Our Cathedral.

Normally when we go on the road, we travel well, and you can see all of our Big Red in the stands with that gawd awful purple or amongst some black and yellow, etc...

But if we travel well to Wisconsin's stadium, we would only help their (weak) version of a Red Out. So, for all those who hate the idea of wearing black in Memorial (which includes me 100%, BTW), is it FINALLY appropriate that we could wear black to their stadium to differentiate between our fans and theirs? I think it could work well and show our traveling strength and really stand out on TV and whatnot...what say you?

it could be the foundation of a caveat/theme to a burgeoning rivalry...

i really like this idea, it adds to the pageantry, and would be something special between the teams. but what about when they come to nu... and they wear black? people might lose sight of the fact that we wear black to represent the blackshirts... but i still really like this idea and i think it feeds into the "potential" rivalry and it is not gimmicky, it is practical, just like the original blackshirts came to be...

Well, if they wear black to our stadium, we just have to have MORE people wearing black in THEIR stadium and they would give up knowing it's our territory and our support statement. And if they wear red to ours? good, more Sea to swim on...Plus we would have Skull and Bones mutha f'ers!!!!!! :bonez

Yeah I was just in Hamburg a couple weeks ago and bought a Pauli hat, it is cool how you see flags all over Hamburg with the skull and bones on it....anyway, don't distract me, i'm trying to start a new tradition here!!

If nothing else, when the game is televised and we do something good on the field, the cameras will surely pan over to all the Big Red fans cheering and stuff...

i like the sharp distinction though, it will better represent how great the fans travel, and be an incentive to travel for our fans because we will have to represent, because otherwise our absence will be glaring.

How about we make it an absolute necessity that any Nebraska fan traveling to Wisconsin for the game MUST wear a corn cob hat.
