Yeah, I don't really much care for the blan beers of the major American brewers. There is a micro brewery in the Central Valley of California called Bear Republic Brewery. They make a really great black stout and a pretty decent pale ale too.I tend to be kind of a beer snob, stick to micros and my own homebrew, but I do have a tip for those of you who like the Bud, Coors, Miller type of brew. Try Milwaukee Ice Select; it's pretty decent, is 5.9%, and is very cheap. If you like the big commercials this one won't disappoint. Personally I'm sticking with Sam Adams and Fat Tire.
I'm a Leinies guy myself.Let me guess Miller/Miller Light....I would if I could, unfortunately I live in Kansas and their idea of high quality beer is Coors...not to knock Coors but come on...you crack me up badgerfan... send me some spotted cow asap!!!
She got a boyfriend?I'm one for Keystone, Bud Light, and Budweiser. Schlafly Wheat is a really good beer too from St. Louis. If you have never had it, you should try it when you get near STL.
As for microbrews, my girlfriend's older sister brews her own beer, and she made a belgium blonde that I drank the crap out of one night. Other than that, I just am not a fan of dark beers or bicrobrews or anything of that sort. I like my beer smooth.
