The legend of WullenwaberPosted by: Darnell Dickson on March 20, 2012 at 4:25PM CST Life in the Red, huskerextra.com

We’ve already reported that Tyler Wullenwaber, Tyler Evans and Jase Dean are getting the most reps as the holder for PAT’s and field goals. Els said the position is “wide open.”

“You’d like to have a guy the kicker feels most comfortable with,” he added. “No. 2, you want an athlete who can get you of trouble if something does happen.”

Wullenwaber is an interesting option in that regard. Last year, after running a reverse 82 yards for a touchdown against Minnesota, wide receiver Kenny Bell said, “I would never call myself the fastest guy on the team. Taylor (Martinez) has got speed, but I'd put my money on Tyler Wullenwaber. He's a guy not many guys hear about. He's a scout-team guy and one heck of a football player, and he can fly.”

Tyler Wullenwaber? Fastest guy on the team? He probly wouldn't have been my first guess. Or in my first ten guesses.

Tyler Wullenwaber is so fast he can cook a five-minute egg in three minutes.

Tyler Wullenwaber is so fast he once got a speeding ticket on O Street. He was walking.

Tyler Wullenwaber is so fast The Flash told him to "hang on a minute" when they were out for a jog.

Tyler Wullenwaber is so fast the speed of light refuses to race.

Tyler Wullenwaber is so fast he can outrun Chuck Norris.

Tyler Wullenwaber is so fast he makes Speedy Gonzales look like Regular Gonlazes.

He broke 22 seconds in the 200 his senior year a couple of times. Was eat by Daniel Davie in the 100 and 200 finals his senior year at track. He is FAST. And was a real good all around athlete is HS.

Oh yeah he is the Class B State Record holder in the long jump at 23' 8. Oh, double yeah, he also won the high jump his senior clearing 6'8.

And ccm420, if you had ever actually seen Tyler Evans run the option at Waverly you probably wouldn't be so "thrilled". Holder has to have good hands, quick reflexes and the ability to make a split second decision when all goes bad. Tyler Evans probably could do all that in his sleep.

But continue with the hating all, it is enjoyable to read.

no way a scholarship player's only playing time should be at holder lol. come on bro.

my point being, no way he should be on scholarship. along with alot of other "dead weight"

Hold on here. If Daniel Davie beat him in the 100, then why isn't this thread called The Legend of Daniel Davie?

So any guy heading into a redshirt sophomore year that hasn't seen the field yet is automatically dead weight and should be cut???? Makes all the sense in the world
