Martinez QB Camp Update

I've noticed in pictures of me throwing a football that I'm usually giving the defense the middle finger with my non-throwing hand.

If only T-Mart had a normal Nebraska throwing motion. Like this one--the Shot putt/Karate chop hybrid motion. An accepted standard for Husker QBs.

 
It looks like you have absolutely no idea one way or the other. Here are a few pictures from well-established quarterbacks that look similar, or could easily be misinterpreted to look "bad" if you couldn't see their feet and were only looking at the torso:

Landlord I'm not sure I really agree with this. And Taylor that throwing arm looks good, actually. Not sure why people think it looks off.

Are any of those pictures ones where the QB looks like they have a bad motion? Maybe it's just my untrained eyes.

I think it's sort of like that discussion that was either here or on Rivals where people thought Taylor had the ball pointed the wrong way in some picture. But that's just how the ball is supposed to be at that point in the throw.

The point of the pictures was really just to show that if you only look at a frozen snapshot of just the upper body of a quarterback throwing, it's easy for it to look really weird and unnatural, and Taylor isn't alone in this category.

 
Ah, I see. You're saying it might look bad when it isn't. I guess we're in agreement. I was just thinking that none of them even looked especially bad.

I do think Taylor's position in that picture makes him look a little bit off balance in the throw but it's hard to tell since I don't really know my stuff. The arm motion, etc looks fine. Throwing the football is just that goofy.

 
Oh man. That was gruesome. I had to look it up to be sure. Googled "catapult in the face."


Turns out it was just a watermelon exploding.

I love how they ignore the possibility of a concussion at the end. "I can't even see straight!" "They don't call it the Amazing Race for nothing."
