I'm a husker pessimist, but all Nebraska has to do is get to a bowl game, finish 7-6 and grab a few strong recruits along the way. The next game is a must for Mike Riley though, not sure how Nebraska makes a bowl game with a loss to Minnesota.

Disappointed with the lack of splash hires so far. Most of the assistants so far are okay, but the D-Coordinator is worrisome. Nebraska needs to shell out big bucks for at least TWO monster recruiters, pay whatever it takes. Otherwise transferring the OSU staff here will translate into more 9-3, 8-4 seasons.

After watching a lot of good football tonight, particularly the Egg and Iron Bowls, I think we need to recognize that Nebraska not only has coaching issues but talent issues on the field. The QBs/LBs/WRs on those teams absolutely outclass Nebraska. We have to start pulling in top 15 classes on a yearly basis to really compete with the best teams in the country.
