    As a Cowboy's fan, I greatly appreciate the season he had.  But I don't see any way that the Cowboys don't bring in some kickers this week.

    Even if its just to put Maher in competition and boost his confidence by making him "win" the job.

    Not going to lie, when he tried the 3rd one I thought "wouldn't it be hilarious if he missed this too?"

    I thought the same thing on his 4th XPA as well!  

    I like Maher.  I just never seen anything like it before from a kicker ever - it was unbelievable

    Not sure how they stole our thunder. Fickell looks like a good hire but nobody actually knows. Wisky might be trending downward after their great run under Alvarez.

    I remember beating Ohio St. when Fickell as the interim coach back when Bo was our coach. Only time will tell. I confess I was as shocked when they fired Paul Cryst (sp?)

    We hired the coach they wanted and they had to go to 1b.

    Seriously, I like our guy better and Wiscy may have got a guy that doesn’t quite fit their machine and then bounces to tOSU first chance.

    Supposedly, there was 2 options after losing to Illinois.  Cut his pinky finger off, or fire him.  He kept his finger and the money.

    Wisconsin is bad, but they sure didn't look "fire a guy after five games" bad, especially considering his (previous) record.

    I'm certainly not complaining about it. I'm kinda hoping maybe with Mickey getting us a nice win combined with this could be a sign of some kind of sliding doors moment where we ascend and they fall down.

    I'm REALLY tired of losing to that program.

    I think there was more going on than him being fired over one game.  He wasn’t recruiting like in the past and wasn’t really keeping up with the whole NIL issue.  The University was firing people and not replacing them.  When you read what many of the Wiscy fans have written about the firing many say it was about time.  But many also said it was like when we fired Solich but more said it reminded them of when Nebraska fired Bo. I was shocked to say the least.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
