    A Big Ten West team has still not won the B1G Championship. Wisconsin won it before there was a split. Since the East/West split B1G West teams are 0-8.

    I don’t see it as a problem at all. So far it’s just been a golden opportunity terribly squandered by Nebraska.

    Wouldn’t it be so nice to control and dominate the West? Our own ineptitude has been the only thing preventing it.

    @JJ Husker I think that's a bit irrelevant to his point as he wasn't explicitly outlining any benefit or detriment for Nebraska.

    Obviously, the fewer the obstacles to the B1G championship the better if you're in the West, but from an objective perspective regarding the balance of the league, one division is structurally and fundamentally better equipped to succeed.

    Having the weaker division doesn't mean much for success either. Same thing happened in the Big 12. Whomever in the north patty caked their way through that division would just lose to whatever elite team made it through the southern gauntlet. I don't really see that changing to often with the likes of tOSU, MU and PSU all in one division, regardless of how bad or good Nebraska is.

    Well I was replying to your @Enhance statement that it was a problem. I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said, but I also think it is advantageous for Nebraska if nothing changes with the divisions. It’s all a moot point as long as Nebraska keeps it’s head up it’s a$$ but our path to anything meaningful couldn’t be easier than it is now.

    Sure, it's easy to make fun of us at this point. They pick the lowest hanging fruit, which is us and we make it easy for them.

    We really took our 9 wins for granted that we got as fans. Many of us on here thought anyone could get 9 wins at Nebraska, myself included. Now, we would be ecstatic to just get that many wins. Sigh.

    @HuskermanMike of course 9 is better than 5 and it would've been especially helpful to get to a bowl game this year. So in that sense, yes I would've been ecstatic. My original comment was made in the context of whether or not I would rather have Pelini's 9 typical wins, and no I wouldn't. I'd rather put up with fewer now so that in the larger scheme we can achieve even more later. I may be weird or spoiled from the 80's-90's but 9 wins without titles is just another number without any 'ships. But right now any additional win would be better.

    Gotcha @JJ Husker, not trying to have a bring back Bo party or anything but I would love to get 9 wins. Sadly it might be two or three years until we can get that many. Let's just hope this suffering we go through now will pay off.

    @Cdog923 I think you mean 2007 instead of 2008? Anyway, we at least won games with them and now we are not winning games. I thought the striped pants were a lot cooler than these uniforms.

    In all honesty, I just hadn't checked for a day or two. It looks like we're experimenting with no Rumorville for the time being. There's been some confusion about whether ALL rumors should go there or just Husker related rumors. Our members will also often post similar topics in both forums out of confusion or how they personally weigh the validity of the 'rumor.' It just happened with some POB stuff, for example.

    Anyways, if something is a rumor, we'll sort of keep an eye out for it and see if it should perhaps have "Rumor" placed in the thread title or if there's enough foundation to it that it can just be discussed like any other topic.

    Open to feedback on this, though.

    Was playing an older Madden Game and I injured the return man. Once I saw who it was I could not believe it, Troy Walters. He played with some of the best receivers in the NFL after looking at his career. Excited to see what he does with our young and talented wide receiver group!

    Troy Walters was a pretty darn good receiver on his own.  He was an All-American and Belitnikoff Award winner at Stanford.  Then he bounced around the NFL for a number of years, even though he was only 5'8" and 170 lbs.

    Does Demornay have a possibility for a medical redshirt? How many games did he play in 2015? I thought last time it was a no but I saw somewhere that he may be able to apply for it.

    Apparently on Saturday after Drew Brown had to make a tackle on a kickoff he sprinted back to the sideline and started yelling at his teammates. He was mad cause the team did not care, they did not try and fight off their blocks and the kicker had to play DB when he didn't have to. Kudos to him for being a vocal leader, but man we need guys to not quit in games period.
