    Marlon Lucky Healthy

According to the World Herald, Marlon Lucky is 100% healthy and ready to go for the Gator Bowl. Many on this board prefer Helu to Lucky, and in the last few games we've really seen what Roy can bring to the table. However, I think having Lucky available as well makes us much more potent...

Need some help with VT game

Hey everyone, My wife and I are leaving tomorrow morning for Uganda to adopt a little boy. I will not be able to catch the VT game on 9/27. Also, living in SoCal I'm not sure whether it will be shown here or not...I'm setting the DVR anyway, but I'm not sure I will be able to get it (and I...

    Start of something special?

I'm really getting excited about this class that Pelini and Co. are bringing in. It seems to be low on ego (apart from maybe Okafor and Compton) and high on football ability. Not to mention, there is some serious athletic ability coming in. Plus, the large number of walk-ons are going to add...

    2009 Recruiting is what's important

well so far HCBP's recruiting has been less than stellar. Horrible, in fact. Losing commits to sCUm makes me sick to my stomach. That being said, when a program changes coaches, recruiting almost always suffers that first year. I just hope he can get some decent athletes who are hard...

Fired coaches running into each other

This article by Austin Murphy on the SI college football page is super funny. http://tinyurl.com/39sgtg

    Bill Cowher

Jim Rome mentioned Bill Cowher as being interested in the NU job. At first the idea seemed ludicrous, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. He would definitely have the D playing mean and aggressive, and emphasize a power running game. Also, I think his reputation would help him...

    Defensive game plan for CU

Which Coz defense do you think will show up on Friday? The aggressive, blitzing plan we saw against Texas and KSU or the lay-back-and-let-them-have-their-way-with-you one we saw against every other team we played this year? I think that if we come aggressively after CU, we can force Hawkins...

    Q&A w/ Shatel

On the OWH website today, in the Q&A with Shatel, a reader brought up Steve Mariucci and Butch Davis as his top choices to replace Cally. I'm not sure about Mariucci, but I think Butch Davis would be awesome! He has a great track record as a college head coach (as far as winning anyway)...

    Ganz and receivers

It sure seems as if the receivers are dropping fewer of Joe's passes. He was on the money with a lot of them, but the receivers had to make some adjustments on several balls as well. Do you think they have any easier time with balls from Joe as opposed to how Keller would fire it in? ...(any...

    Marlon Lucky

I really like what I've seen from Marlon the last few games. He's running harder and doing a better job finding holes. And the Watson/Cally are doing a better job of getting him the ball in space...he is a top-notch receiver out of the backfield. Do you all think he will be back next year?

    Win as a team, lose...

One of the best coaches I had as a kid would tell us that "We win as a team, we lose when we break down as individuals". Now, I feel the same way as everyone else here that the responsibility for this debacle of a season ultimately falls on the coaches. But, football is a game of a bunch of...
